Climbing endless mountain passes, sharing the road with 20,000 lb RV's piloted by crazed vacationers, baking in the blazing sun when you're not soaked from rain, what's not to like about cycle touring? I started cycle touring in 1999, returning to a youthful interest in my advanced years. When I began I found lots of help from online journals created by other cycle tourists. I found advice on gear, tips for the road, and inspiration for an adventure. I hope this site returns some of my debt to the net with advice and information you find helpful.

Click the links to my journals to read about my cycle trips over the years. I have cycled in Greece, Italy, Spain, France, Croatia, Turkey, and the USA. Trips in the USA include along the Pacific coast, along the continental divide, and through the great basin between the Pacific coast range and the Rocky Mountains.

Why cycle tour? Every cycle tourist has their own reason for touring. Over the years I've met many, they were all unique. As for me? I like the challenge, I love being outdoors, but mostly I enjoy traveling to places in between.
